Teaching Methods:
Our dual language classrooms are designed to maximize both language acquisition and academic success through:
- Language scaffolding: Teachers provide support and use strategies like visuals, repetition, and gestures to ensure that students understand key concepts, even if they are still learning the second language.
- Interactive Learning: Students participate in hands-on activities, collaborative projects, and language-rick games to reinforce both language and content knowledge.
- Peer Support: Students often work with their peers, helping each other learn new vocabulary and concepts in both language.

Important Information:
- Language Progress Monitoring: We assess students' language development regularly to ensure they are making progress in both languages and meeting grade-level academic standards.
- Parent Communication: Teachers will provide regular updates on your child's progress in both language proficiency and academic subjects. We encourage open communication and are always here to support you.

Benefits of Dual Language Education:
- Cognitive Skills: Research shows bilingual students have better problem-solving skills, higher academic achievement, and increased cognitive flexibility
- Cultural Competency: Students learn about the cultures tied to each language, developing a global mindset and the ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Long Term Success: Bilingualism is an increasingly valuable skill in our global society, giving students a competitive advantage in higher education and the workforce.

Parent & Family Involvement:
We believe that family involvement is key to a student's success. Here's how we encourage you to engage:
- Language Support at Home: Encourage your child to use both languages at home-whether it's reading together, practicing vocabulary, or talking about their day in English and Spanish.
- Cultural Activities: Join us for school events, family nights, and cultural celebrations that foster a deeper understanding of the language and cultures being studied.
- Stay Informed: Attend parent- teacher conferences and events to support your child's bilingual development.
